For the second day in a row, the Lady Oaks hosted the Lakers of Wright State University-Lake, out of Celina, Ohio. The result the second time was similar to the first, as OCU knocked off the Lakers 114-58, improving to 11-6 on the season.
Maddie Ubelhor led all scorers, shooting 16-24 from the field, on her way to 38 points, while hauling in nine rebounds. Julyen Condra added 24 points and nine boards off the bench, while Emma Lander came up with 18 counters and eight rebounds. Aricka Prentice scored 14, while Kiare Young had a double-double, with 10 points and 12 assists. Reanne Kietlinski had four points, six rebounds, 10 assists and four steals in the win.
Kenadee Dixon led the way for the Lakers, scoring 18 points, on 7-16 shooting, followed by 16 points and nine rebounds from Nicole Fogt. Mikayla Stump notched 12 points, followed by Kelsie Hunt's 10 point, seven rebound effort.
For the game, OCU shot 45-87 (51.7%) from the field, including 8-23 (34.8%) from three point range. The Lakers made 22-61 (36.1%) of their shots, going 10-31 (32.3%) from beyond the arc. The Oaks made 16-17 (94.1%) from the foul line, compared to 4-14 (28.6%) for the visitors
As a team, the Lady Oaks pulled down 55 rebounds, compared to 32 for the Lakers, while leading 22-11 on the offensive boards. OCU handed out 40 assists, compared to just 15 for Wright State-Lake, while winning the turnover battle 26-7.
Next up for the Lady Oaks will be a home contest against Ohio Christian University, in the Johnson Center, on February 14. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
