Oakland City, IN - The Lady Oaks hosted the Midway Eagles for Senior Day on Thursday afternoon winning 4-0, bringing their record to 6-5-1 on the year. The Oaks lead all through the game, and had no problem finding the back of the net. The scoring opened up in the 19th minute of the game when sophomore
Madison Nicolas received a beautiful ball from sophomore Maddie Meyers and the ball was perfectly placed past the Midway keeper. The Lady Oaks lead at halftime 1-0.
Finding the back of the net 3 times for the Lady Oaks and her 9th, 10th, and 11th goals on the season was Freshman
Claudia Melgar. Melgar scored in the 51st minute assisted by Nicolas, again in the 72nd minute, assisted by Sophomore Alanda Doherty and finishing the game in the 82nd minute, this goal assisted by Senior
Kaitlyn Dimmett. Melgar has now scored 11 goals in the same amount of games played.
Jillian Beem had another clean sweep saving all 3 of the Midway shots.
