Oakland City, IN - In the second game of the evening, the OCU Men's Basketball team faced off with the Pioneers of Cambellsville University Harrodsburg. As the game went on the Oaks made it a close one but just couldn't pull it out in the end with the final score being 76-70.
Allen Sims led the way for OCU, scoring 14 points to go with 5 rebounds.
JaMarcus Clark also tallied 13 points while
Tyler Camplin scored 12.
JaMarcus Clark and Abdul White led the way in rebounding with 6 boards a piece.
Tyron Duncan led the way for the Pioneers with 25 points, followed by 16 points and 8 rebounds from Chris Rawlins.
As a team, the Oaks made 24-49 (49%) of their shot attempts, including 3-12 (25%) from three points range. The Pioneers connected on 29-65 (44.6%) from the field, going 5-22 (22.7%) from beyond the arc. OCU made 19-25 (76%) from the foul line, compared to 13-24 (54.2%) for the visiting Cambellsville Harrodsburg.
Oakland City held a 38-34 rebounding edge. The Oaks handed out 10 assists, while the Pioneers dished out 12.
The Oaks will be back in action as they travel to the Alice Lloyd Eagles at noon followed by the Lady Oaks at two.
