Oakland City, IN-- Oakland City Women's Volleyball took on a RV (Receiving Votes) IU-Kokomo losing 0-3 in their home opener. The Lady Oaks had a strong first set, fighting back and forth with the Cougars. The Oaks and Cougars were trading points back and forth before the Cougars finally took the first set by a score of 22-25. The Lady Oaks continued to fight but came up short in the next two sets with scores of 11-25 and 17-25. Leading the Oaks in kills was
Andrea Andujar Mangu (10), followed by
Malia Schmittler (5), and
Chloee Thomas (5).
Mariana Anastasiadi lead the team in assists with 15, followed by
Callie Foster with 7.
The Lady Oaks will take the floor next against Midway University on Friday at 6:00 PM in Midway, Kentucky. The next home game for the Lady Oaks is Tuesday the 28th against Asbury University at 7:00 PM.
