Oakland City, IN- For their first game back after the Thanksgiving break, the Ladies of the Women's Basketball team traveled to Richmond, Indiana to take on the Red Wolves of IU East for the second time this season. A strong 3rd quarter led the way for the Oaks to victory.
After trailing in the first quarter, 24-27, the Oaks came back and took the lead in the 2nd quarter, and never lost it from there. The Oaks outscored the Red Wolves 50-24 in the second half with a majority of that being in the 3rd period where they dominated the Wolves 25-6.
Leading the way for the Mighty Oaks was senior,
Taylor Dillard, with 18 points and 7 assists. Next up behind her was Davinque Campbell who posted a double double of 14 counters and 11 boards. Jayla Dowell also racked up 14 points and 6 rebounds.
The Lady Oaks now hold a 8-2 record (3-0 in conference play) and recorded their fourth straight win. Next up for the Oaks is IU Kokomo, in Kokomo on Dec 6th at 4:30 pm.
