Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Mens Soccer Pummels Campbellsville-Harrodsburg

Harrodsburg, KY- A dominate showing by the Mighty Oaks Soccer team carried them to a 3-0 victory over the Pioneers of Campbellsville University-Harrodsburg on Tuesday evening.

 It only took four shots and 12 minutes for the Oaks to find the back of the net for the first goal. Sophomore Forward Corey Will passed the ball through the box where Junior Transfer Periale Noutaha finished from six yards out. This was the only goal in the first half where the Mighty Oaks out shot the Pioneers 14-0, with half of those on goal. The Mighty Oaks dominated in all facets in the first half. 

In the second half, the Oaks got on the board quickly again, scoring in the 59th minute. Sophomore James O' Brien scored off of a Evan Reape deflection making the score 2-0 in favor of the Oaks. The final goal came in the 65th minute by Evan Reape. After 14 shots, Reape used his head and finished off a cross by Carlos Juarez Doming. The Mighty Oaks would continue to test the keeper, but couldn't find the back of the net for the rest of the game. 

The Mighty Oaks outshot the Pioneers 33-1 and 17-1 on goal, also leading with 16-1 in Corner Kicks. Both teams picked up 3 fouls and no cards were issued during the game. 

Next up for the Mighty Oaks is at Campbellsville University on Friday September 15th with kick off at 6pm.
