Caleb Hughes became the first Head Coach of the new Esports program at Oakland City University in February of 2023. As head coach, he hopes to inspire student-athletes and provide them with as many academic and competitive opportunities as possible.

Hughes graduated from Vincennes University in 2020 with a B.S. in Information Technology. While there, he helped in the development of the VU gaming lab and discovered there was a place for video games in a university setting. Hughes spent two years as a member of the VU Gaming Club.

He also serves as the audio/visual coordinator for the university. Outside of Esports, Hughes has a passion for athletics, hiking, and casual video games.
