Coach Dixon is in his fifth season as Coach of the Oakland City University tennis teams. Dixon hails from Plainfield, IN where he took part in the growing tennis programs there. Coach Dixon is a 2017 graduate of the University of Southern Indiana where he received a bachelor of science with a Psychology Degree. Dixon joined the Mighty Oaks staff as a part-time head Coach in the spring of 2017. This season the Mighty Oaks went 0-5 in a very short Spring season. With the first recruiting class under his belt, the Oaks quickly improved to 6-12 with a loaded schedule of big teams. In the third season as the head coach, the teams were heading in the right direction before COVID kicked in and canceled the seasons. It was in 2020-21 that Coach Dixon had his first winning season going 7-4 and 4-2 in conference play, with the men, and 5-9 and 3-5 in the conference earning a 4th place finish for both teams in the first season in conference. Coach Dixon has grown the roster from 8 girls to 17 in his four years and from 5 guys to 15 this season.

For the first time since 2007, the Mighty Oaks advanced to the NCCAA National Championships in Mobile, Alabama, earning a 5th place finish in the country. Both teams look to continue their success under Coach Dixon and Coach Epkey this Spring.
