David Hose, a native of Sumner, Illinois, joined the staff of the Oakland City Athletic Department as the Sports Information Director and Assistant Athletic Director of Events in 2009 and was named Head Women's Golf Coach for the 2010-11 season.
The OCU women's golf team won their first NCCAA regional championship in 2017, gaining their first automatic berth in the NCCAA National Championship tournament, where they finished 9th.
In 2015, the Lady Oaks golf team made their first appearance at the NCCAA National Championship tournament, receiving an at-large bid, and finished 9th.
A member of the Oakland City University men's golf team from 2003-08, Hose has been involved in OCU athletics for over a decade.
He graduated summa cum laude from OCU in 2008 with a B.A in English and a B.S. in Social Studies.
Hose spent five years working in the IT department on campus before moving to the athletic department.
"Coaching has been something I have felt would be a good fit for me. I have always enjoyed working with people to better themselves, both on and off the course.
"If I can help someone play better that is great, but if they graduate a better person and I have played a small part in that, I have succeeded."
Hose resides in Oakland City, Indiana, with his wife Heather and daughter Bethany.
