The Oakland City University women's soccer team played at Aigner Field, in Oakland City, Indiana, on September 15, 2018, taking on the Harris-Stowe State University Hornets.
After falling behind 2-0, OCU scored to bring the score within one, as
Aubree Miller put a shot on goal. The Hornet keeper got a hand on the shot, sending it into the cross bar. But the top spin allowed the ball into the net, giving Maddie Davis and
Corabelle Tally the assists.
However, OCU would give up four more goals, without scoring another of the own, and lost 1-6.
OCU Goalkeeper
Jillian Beem had fourteen saves in goal, as the Hornets managed to send a barrage of shots at the Mighty Oak goal.
The Lady Oaks play again on September 19, against Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, in Terre Haute, Indiana. Their next home game will be October 9, also against Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.
