Oakland City, IN - The 2022 Oakland City University Mighty Oaks Baseball schedule has been released.
The Oaks will kick off their season in Knoxville, Tennessee, in a four game series at Johnson University. Double headers will be at noon on February 4 and 5.
February 12 and 13, Goshen College is set to play a pair of double headers to open play at Pinnick Field for the season, followed by a pair of double headers against Bethel University, out of Mishawaka, Indiana, February 18 and 19.
after a February 22 trip to Thomas More University, with a single game at 1:00, the Mighty Oaks will return home to take on Grace Christian University, out of Michigan, for a three game series, February 25 and 26. Game times are 2:00 on Friday and 11:00 on Saturday.
River States Conference play will start with a matchup against West Virginia Tech, March 4 and 5, at Pinnick Field. A quick road trip for two games at Lindsey Wilson College, on March 8, will set up another home conference series, against Point Park University March 11 and 12.
Over spring break, OCU will travel to Missouri, taking on Evangel University on March 15, then Baptist Bible College the following day. The Oaks will then travel east for a conference series at the University of Rio Grande, March 18 and 19.
Kentucky State University will make the trip to Oakland City for a single game on March 22, followed by a visit from Thomas More University on March 23. The first pitch is set for 2:00 both afternoons.
RSC play will resume with a road trip to Indiana University Kokomo, March 25 and 26. The Oaks will then host Bethel University, out of McKenzie, Tennessee, for a double header on March 29, followed by a weekend series against RSC for Indiana University Southeast on April 1 and 2. Their home stand will conclude with a doubleheader against Lindsey Wilson College on April 5.
OCU will begin an eleven-game stretch on the road by visiting Midway University, for three games, April 8 and 9, then single games at Kentucky State University, on April 12, and at the University of Southern Indiana, on April 13. A double header against Indiana University South Bend is scheduled for April 16, in Westfield, Indiana, followed by a road game at Bethel University, in McKenzie, Tennessee, on April 19.
The Oaks will conclude their regular season with a pair of three-game conference matchups, taking on Brescia University, in Owensboro, Kentucky, April 22 and 23, then against Ohio Christian University, at Pinnick Field, April 29 and 30.
The River States Conference Tournament is scheduled to start on May 6, and will be held in Chillicothe, Ohio.
