MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Indiana University Kokomo is the clear favorite in the 2022 River States Conference Volleyball Coaches' Preseason Poll released Wednesday (Aug. 10) by the conference office. The Cougars received all of the available first-place votes from coaches around the RSC.
IU Kokomo amassed 132 votes in the poll and 11 first-place votes. The Cougars have won the last four RSC Championship tournament titles. Last year, IU Kokomo racked up a record of 28-9 overall, 16-1 RSC on their way to another conference crown. The Cougars were in the NAIA National Championship as a perennial qualifier.
Building on a new roster, Coach Larry Hinshaw is looking to the leadership of the returners to turn some heads in RSC Play. OCU Volleyball has returners at all spots on the court as well as some big additions at the net.
The top eight teams that come out on top of the RSC volleyball point system will qualify for the postseason this year. The conference championship will be hosted by the team from the RSC East that has the most points.
