Oakland City University right-handed pitcher Thomas King has been selected as this week River States Conference Pitcher of the Week. The Senior hurler took the mound on Senior Day, this past Sunday and helped his team a victory to complete the sweep versus IUPUC.
In his start versus the Crimson Pride of IUPU Columbus,
Thomas King pitched six innings of shutout baseball. He allowed two hits, both singles, while walking two and striking out ten. King needed 92 pitches to complete six innings and helped his team to an 11-1 victory in seven innings.
This win brought the Mighty Oaks overall record to 32-13 and King's record to 4-1. So far, the right-handed hurler had pitched 55.2 innings on the year, he has allowed 36 hits, 24 runs (13 earned), while walking 25 and striking out 88 batters. His earned run average on the year is 2.10.
As of Monday, King's 2.10 ERA is ranked 13
th in all of NAIA baseball, while he is ranked eighth on the strikeout leaderboard.
