Box Score After a devastating loss versus IU Kokomo on Thursday, the Oaks answered with a big win over Ohio Christian University in game two of the tournament this afternoon. Oakland City collected eighteen hits and plated seventeen runs.

The Trailblazers of Ohio Christian started off by scoring a run in the top of the first, taking an early 0-1 lead. Oakland City answered right away. Leyton Ivers walked and Aron Busick followed with a single to put runners on the corners. A groundout from Noah Baugher resulted in the 1-1, as it allowed Ivers to score. A single from Fred Fernandez, a double from Oliver Hamilton and a Xander Willis homerun all followed. Later in the inning, Leyton Ivers singled to left field, which allowed Sam Pinckert (single) and Marcos Arocho (hit by pitch) to score. After the first, the Oaks were up 6-1.

An inning later, after a Noah Baugher walk, Fred Fernandez deposited a ball over the fence for a two-run shot. Oliver Hamilton followed with a double, Xander Willis singled and on an errant throw while trying to pick-off to first base, both runners were able to score. This made it a 10-1 ballgame after two innings.

Oakland City answered with a walk for Aron Busick, an RBI double for Noah Baugher and a sacrifice fly from Chase Christie. After this, Oliver Hamilton got hit by a pitch, Mason Simon singled and Alec Pruitt reached base due to a fielding error, this allowed the seventeenth run to cross Homeplate for the Oaks.
