Box Score Oakland City, IN- The OCU Men's Soccer team kicked off their season on Saturday with an exhibition against Kentucky Wesleyan College. The Mighty Oaks fell to a 1-0 deficit quickly in the game after a penalty kick was awarded in the 4th minute. The defense was strong for the remainder of the first half as the first half ended at a 1-0 margin. The Oaks lead in shots in the first half with 4 to 1 for the Panthers.
The second half started nearly the same with 2 quick goals by the Panthers in the 48th and 50th minutes to increase their lead to 3-0. This would be the final score as the defense seemed to pick back up again after conceding the two quick goals. The Mighty Oaks lead again in the second half with 6 shots to the Panthers 4.
The next game for the Mighty Oaks will be next Saturday with another exhibition against Divison 1 Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY.
