OCU Earns First Road Victory this Season with Easy Win at Concordia Seminary

The Mighty Oaks improved to 10-2 on the year, earning their first road victory of the season, as they downed the Preachers of Concordia Seminary. After leading 55-21 at halftime, OCU never looked back, pulling away to finish off a 105-44 victory.
 

Andrew Scott scored a game high 31 points, shooting 12-25 from the field, including 7-12 from beyond the arc. Logan Worthington added 22 points while grabbing eight rebounds. Addison Wagler also had eight boards, while posting 17 counters and handing out seven assists. Joe Hinton added eight points, all in the second half, while dishing out six assists and picking up seven steals.
 

Connor Wadrasch came up with eight points off the bench to lead the Preachers, followed by Paul Rempfer, who posted seven.

For the game, OCU shot 42-76 (55.3%) from the field, including 10-21 (47.6%) from three point range. Concordia made 19-68 (27.9%) of their shot attempts, going 5-27 (18.5%) from long range. The Oaks managed to score on 11-18 (61.1%) from the foul line, compared to 1-2 (50.0%) for the Preachers.
 

The Mighty Oaks held a 49-40 rebounding advantage, despite trailing 17-16 on the offensive boards. OCU handed out 27 assists, compared to just 11 for Concordia, while winning the turnover battle 21-5.
