Box Score After leading much of the first half, the Mighty Oaks went into the locker room tied at 40 against the Quakers of Earlham College today, their second game in as many days at home. OCU was able to outscore EC 55-43 in the second frame, winning 95-83, improving to 2-0 on the year.
Logan Worthington posted game highs of 33 points to go with nine rebounds, while Addison Wagler had 21 points, nine boards, eight assists and four steals. Andrew Scott tallied 15 counters, while Andre Bearden notched 13 points, five rebounds and eight assists. Mitch Frederick came off the bench to score nine points and grab five rebounds.
Darrell Hutchison led the way for the Quakers, scoring 28 points in the loss. Elijah Wilson-Thomas added 17, while Blake Bonin notched 12. Thomas Sanborn came off the bench to put up eight points and eight rebounds, while Tarig Eldosougi hauled in nine missed shots.
For the game, OCU shot 32-66 (48.5%) from the field, despite making only 3-14 (21.4%) from three point range. EC connected on 29-69 (42.0%) of their shots, going 11-29 (37.9%) from distance. The Oaks were 28-33 (84.8%) from the foul line, compared to 14-20 (70.0%) for the visitors.
The Oaks were outrebounded in the game 45-34, including a deficit of 18-9 on the offensive end. OCU had 24 assists and six turnovers, while Earlham had 18 of each.
