MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Maria Trembach from Oakland City (Ind.) University is the River States Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for March 25-31.
Trembach, a sophomore from Kyiv, Ukraine, picked up a big win over NCAA Division II opponent Tiffin (Ohio). Playing at No. 1 singles, she beat the No. 46th ranked singles player in the country in three sets.
It was a hard fought victory, after dropping the opening set 6-0 Trembach came back and won the second set 7-5 and the final match tiebreak 11-9 to earn the 0-6, 7-5, 11-9 win improving her individual singles record to 10-6 on the year.
